From my notes: "Test Fair-Rite Type 43 in Shock Line Configuration" 21 May 02
Capacitance /stage => 1nf =>> Panasonic 3KV ceramic
Inductance /stage (unsaturated) => 3.2 mh for 1st 11 stages P# 2743002112
used single length of bare wire; threaded wire through ferrite beads ; spaced adjacent beads in order to solder one lead the capacitor snug to the wire; other capacitor lead soldered snug to ground plane ( see photo at top).
m0 = 850 for type 43 3mh for remaining P# 2643000701
Inductance saturated => assume for L sat ~ Lunsat / 850 3.8 & 3.5 nh
Unsat. Z => (L/C)1/2 = (3.2E-6/1E-9)1/2 => ~ 57W
saturated => (3.8nh/1nf)1/2 => 2W used 4ohm resistor instead
Propagation speed (t /stage unsaturated ~ (LC) 1/2 => 57nsec /stage X 14 => 792ns
? ? saturated ~ 2nsec/stage X 14 => 27nsec
